This 94k LinkedIn account owns the "event" niche

Are you a founder who doesn't want to spend 5 hours writing tweets or LinkedIn posts every week?

Tribe Digital can get you down to 1-2 hours per month while growing your account, email list, and deal flow faster.

Hey!

This week, we're taking a look at Julius Solaris' account.

One of the best ways to improve your content on any platform is to find the people who are winning the most and see what they're doing.

So let's get into it!

Quick highlights:

  • Followers: 94,296
  • # of posts (last 30 days): 25 (he also reposts his posts one day later)
  • Post types
    • Text: 3
    • Carousel: 0
    • Image: 21
    • Video: 2
    • Giveaway: 3 (2 of the giveaways are being given in his newsletter)
  • Posts with link or comment-to-get CTAs: 1 (AI for Events - Demo day invite if they comment)

Best two posts (by likes):

1/ A quick update as I enter year 4 of my business.

2/ The Post-Event Analysis Framework Giveaway

Insights & Takeaways

1/ His content feels very human.

Just take a look at the post below or the selfie-post with a 4-year biz update. Super personal. Doesn't feel like AI.

Or this one:

2/ He owns a niche.

He talks about events. He's the event guy. You want to hire someone to consult for you, he's the guy you go to. All of his content shows he's the expert.

3/ He's doing some untraditional giveaways.

He writes a giveaway post but doesn't ask people to "comment to get." Instead, he says he'll share it in his newsletter for free and you can click the link next to his name to grab it. But he's getting like 500 comments anyway.

He's doing some traditional ones too.

4/ He does event features and they crush.

"If you are in events, you need to keep an eye on what this event is doing." Then he highlights cool events and has a video or image to go with it. Great opportunity for people. This is essentially what I'm doing with these Saturday LinkedIn Lead Lab breakdowns.

For me, the biggest takeaway here is to be overly human. Make it dramatic. Use words like stagggggering instead of just spelling the actual word. Add some dang exclamation points! Use personal photos.

Good stuff. And that's it.

Two questions for you:

  1. Anything new or interesting you learned from this?
  2. Who would you like me to cover next?

Best,

Matthew

PS - thx to the reader who mentioned Julius (was that you, Pamela?)! Great account to follow. Would love more suggestions if you have any.

The LinkedIn Lead Lab

Every week, I spend hours studying what's working on LinkedIn. Then, I send you an in-depth email breaking it down so you can (1) copy the most effective tactics and (2) implement upgrades you're not using (so you can increase your lead flow).
