Insights

A few thoughts here:

  • Volume: That’s 3 posts per week. Vast majority of accounts at his size are posting 5-7x per week. But goes to show you don’t have to post that many times to win - or at least to maintain. As I like to say, it’s hard to get abs, but it’s easy to keep them…and it’s the same with social content traction.
  • Types: Carousels, video, and giveaways are generally the highest-effort content. He’s doing text + image posts primarily. And still winning. Engagement on his posts is off the charts.
  • CTAs: I’m surprised he’s not using more CTAs. But he does have a “Visit my website” custom button link that shows up on every post, so he’s still driving some traffic without a doubt. Not sure what the strategy is there, because it’s likely he’d drive a lot more traffic with a few links or comment to get posts.
  • Dialogue posts: The “me vs them” post is a great example of a dialogue post. Instead of speaking in first person, you tell the story from a different perspective. There’s unlimited variations of how to do this, but they certainly can work well.
