Tribe Digital can get you down to 1-2 hours per month while growing your account, email list, and deal flow faster.

Hey!

This week, we're taking a look at Sahil Bloom's account.

One of the best ways to improve your content on any platform is to find the people who are winning the most and see what they're doing.

So let's get into it!

Quick highlights:

Best two posts (by likes):

1/ Nobody talks about being boring. It might be the most underrated skill there is.

2/ The things you want most are hiding in the things you avoid. Nobody wants to hear this:

Insights & Takeaways

  1. 90% of Sahil's posts are expanded tweets. He takes a tweet and uses that as the image. Then he expands on it for the LinkedIn post.
  2. He is going after massive TAM topics. Motivation. Productivity. Happiness. Wealth. Parenting. Super competitive space, but if you're a winner, you get more traffic than you know what to do with.
  3. He's still mixing in carousels. I'd say the tweet screenshot posts are relatively low effort. And because they're producing great results for him, he keeps posting them. It's high leverage. But he / his team still put effort in with the carousels. They're really well-designed.
  4. Winning is hard, continuing to win is easy. As I look at his account, he could post the most generic advice and still go viral. His account just has that level of traction. He did the hard work early to establish himself as a player, get a ton of followers, and write unique content. Now it's easy for him to maintain growth because every post does well (essentially no matter what).
  5. His products match his audience. If he were a CEO of a cybersecurity firm, the audience wouldn't make much sense for driving business results. But Sahil has offers that are great for his audience:
    • 5 Types Of Wealth: his book on the different types of wealth. This has sold hundreds of thousands of copies in the last year. It's also led to dozens of speaking engagements around the globe.
    • The Curiosity Chronicle: his newsletter has 800,000+ readers. Sahil creates net new ideas for his newsletter. It's the true engine that powers the rest of his social media content. AND he generates 7 figures a year from sponsorships and affiliates of his newsletter.
    • Venture & Services: he's not as public about these, but he'll occasionally push people to companies he's a part-owner of.
    • Wild Roman: Sahil created a skincare product, primarily for men. This has massive TAM and broad appeal. He's in the game of creating stuff he'd consume, so he's a loyal customer for his product and isn't going for the quick money grab.
  6. He's engineered his content around the life he wants. It's clear to me after consuming his content that he's living his dream life and intentionally using social media instead of letting it use him. He's winning on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and email. He's exploring YouTube and trying to grow there. He spends his time lifting, thinking, writing, and creating content. He DOESN'T spend his time operating businesses. And he says that's the way he wants it to be. Social media can be a cool tool if you're intentional with it.

And that's it.

Two questions for you:

  1. Anything new or interesting you learned from this?
  2. Who would you like me to cover next?

Best,

Matthew
