Hey - Matthew here! Instead of your weekly TRIBE email, I'm gonna vary this one up a little bit. I saw this tweet come across my feed: It was actually an ad. But regardless, with those kinds of results ($2m to $4m ARR in 30 days), I had to click. What happened next is what the future of AI for cold email looks like. I entered my company site.Immediately, it began piecing together what I do. It understood my offer. My target audience. My positioning. My pricing. Everything. Then, it literally started building cold email lists for me. In less than 5 minutes, I had 50,000 people I could email across 6-7 different campaigns:
Then, it literally drafted an email to a prospect for me while I just sat there watching the magic happen. I clicked the "get $30 free credits offer" that popped upIt sent the email. It pulled up a pop-up that said something along the lines of claiming my free $30 credits and that afterwards it would cost .02 cents per email sent. There was a little toggle where I could choose how much I wanted to spend each day. And there was a little calculator estimating how many emails we'd have to send at X reply rate to get Y leads. So I clicked accept, entered my credit card, and off it went. I accepted the copy for the email campaigns on the site one timeAfter accepting it, it went about launching all 6 campaigns for me. And as it did so, it started tracking all the stats to see which campaigns worked best and which ones weren't performing as well. These are all with emails that are pre-warmed. I didn't have to buy one inbox. It's been about a week, so thought I'd share the results. The resultsWe've sent 5,375 emails. I've spent $161. 8 people have responded with some interest. The agency founders and sales-led startups were doing the best, so the "Autopilot" agent turned the other ones off. When there's an interested lead, the tool automatically drafts the next response to attempt to get them booked on my calendar. Here's an example of a conversation where someone asked when I'm available for a call to discuss. My thoughts on the whole thingFirst off, this felt like the future. If you paid attention, I basically clicked 3-4 times and had an entire email campaign that I could scale to my heart's desire. This isn't the first time I've experimented with cold email. I've tried two other times. The first time I tried cold email, I personally bought like 20-30 domains on GoDaddy. I had to create a username and password for each one, then adjust the settings. It was a nightmare. The next time, it was a bit easier because I used this domain aggregator and could buy all the domains in one spot. I booked some calls from it without it being overly complex. BUT, I had a friend who is a cold email expert that was advising me. I'd have no idea how to set it up on my own. But this time, it took ZERO expertise from me. I just clicked a few buttons and had thousands of cold emails promoting my services and getting engaged leads. Incredible. Second, I'm still not a big fan of the leads that come from cold email. Call me spoiled, but getting calls booked from content and ads just tends to be higher quality. Skill issue for sure, but I have the luxury of not needing cold email at the moment. Regardless... This just worked and I could treat it the same way I treat ads. Spend $50 or $150, or $500 per day. Get leads. Sell them. Repeat. CAC becomes extremely obvious. So if you have a sales team and want to experiment with cold outreach, just try something like I did. I spent like $150, got several interested leads, and could decide to scale it up from here if I wanted. Amazing time to be alive! I don't have an affiliate link for the tool or anything, but it's called Explee if you want to check it out. And that's it for today.
