Eric Partaker LinkedIn breakdown: 1.2M followers

Are you a founder who doesn't want to spend 5 hours writing tweets or LinkedIn posts every week?

Tribe Digital can get you down to 1-2 hours per month while growing your account, email list, and deal flow faster.

Hey!

This week, we’re taking a look at Eric Partaker’s account.

As you know, one of the best ways to improve yourself is to learn from people who are ahead of you. This is my attempt to do so.

Quick highlights:

  • Followers: 1,235,409
  • # of posts (last 30 days): 32
  • Post types
    • Text: 0
    • Carousel: 2
    • Image: 29
    • Video: 1
    • Giveaway: 0
  • Posts with link or comment-to-get CTAs: 30 (mostly linking to his book site ultraproductive.com, some to a PDF and newsletter and most of the infographics come with a link.)

Best two posts (by likes):

1/ Every CEO faces the same impossible choice

(but few admit it out loud):

2/ You can cut waste by 70% & boost quality by 90%.

When you know the Japanese secret of Kaizen.

Insights & Takeaways

1/ He follows what I'd consider the "industry standard best practices." Daily posts. Every post has a CTA. Every post has some kind of media.

Takeaway: Best practices are best practices for a reason.

2/ The number of reposts he gets is insane. This is something I have not cracked with my own content. It likely has to do with (1) the level of traffic he already has, (2) the request for people to repost it, and (3) the shareability of the images he uses. This amplifies his traffic tremendously.

Takeaway: Create more shareable images and ask people to share it by reposting or sending to others.

3/ His hooks are clean and professional. They drive curiosity, the images give you a lot of info, but you need the captions to guide you. To explain why you should care and what it means. I'd also consider the media as part of your hook and there's no doubt they are increasing "dwell time."

Takeaway: Curiosity-inducing hooks work.

4/ His banner lets you know about his cohort and is updated daily. Before hosting a cohort, he'll update his banner daily "you are 3 days away," then "2," then "1." I caught it on "1." This is a really unique way to market I haven't seen anywhere else and it works perfectly if you run some type of launch / cohort-based model and get a lot of traffic to your profile.

Takeaway: If you run a cohort-based model, absolutely try this out.

5/ He's pushing to his book. He has some businesses, but it's clear that the "demand" for the services far outweigh the "supply." A CEO coach can only take so many clients, so it makes sense he'd push people elsewhere. Either to his newsletter where he can build up potential energy, his book before it launches so it propels his career forward, or another one-to-many style offer.

Takeaway: Optimize your CTA based on your constraint. No need to push your service if you're at capacity and already have a waitlist.

And that’s it.

Two questions for you:

  1. Anything new or interesting you learned from this?
  2. Who would you like me to cover next?

Best,

Matthew
